Microsoft... Keepin' it FRESH

Rant: For years I have used Outlook 2000. It did everything I needed it to, but recently I upgraded to Office 2003. For years to send/receive in Outlook all you had to do was press the F5 key. The F5 key used to be the universal "refresh" key. It refreshes the page in Internet Explorer and the folders in Windows explorer.

But in Outlook 2003 they changed it! It's now the F9 key!

I would understand if the F5 key played some vital role and needed to be assigned as such in Outlook, but it doesn't, now it doesn't do anything at all.

Way to go Microsoft! Way to keep it FRESH!

Rant of the Day

So, I got this email from the UMB Bookstore saying that today, Friday February 29th, there was going to be 25% off sale.

So needing to buy some sweatshirts for some relatives who were going to be visiting this weekend, I drove the 15 miles each way out to UMass to save my 25% on UMass gear. When I got there... THE BOOKSTORE WAS CLOSED! It closed yesterday at noon and all the way through today for inventory!

Can someone please explain this one to me? I actually called and left a message for the manager, I wonder if I will get a call back... hmmmm
